Super bowl

Super bowl at Hanmer springs
Have you ever been on the super bowl before?  Well if you haven't then listen up.  It was a sunny day, walking to the pools. Waiting and waiting finally next person please, asked the lady at the counter. I was feeling a little scared .My hands were shaking. My brain was swimming. Walking, feeling freezing cold, my feet were frozen. “Umm Mylo I don't think this is a good idea. Noooooo!” I yelled to Mylo. My heart was pumping, my hands were shaking and even more my brain was swimming. 3,2,1 GO mylo pushed us down the slide as hard as he could and suddenly it was a dream come true. We were spinning very slowly but suddenly we stopped with disaster. “Oh NO! Some one help!” I was screaming. “Help! Help! Someone!”.  Mylo yelled “Maybe we just get out and push ourselves down the hole.” So I got out and pushed us down the hole to get to the bottom. At that point it was just like I was being chased by a big monster. It was scary but you know what? It was still…

Camp

Camp wainui
It was a cold and rainy day at Wainui and I found myself at the top of the high ropes.  I felt very proud of myself of doing that. It all started when all of my friends all forced me to go up, so I did. I was half way then suddenly I had this feeling that I could not do it, but you know what, I kept going. By the time I found myself up on the very top, I was so proud because it made me feel like my fear of being scared of heights was not there sitting in my brain like usual.

Feeling proud was not the only thing that I was feeling on camp: I was also angry, well frustrated because by the time it was time for lights out, we were all dozing off and then suddenly there was a BIG Bang, bang, bang!  Everyone was so so angry. So we went outside and we saw people on the field. I didn't know what was happening - was it ding dong ditching or what? So we closed the door then bang, bang, bang. “Uhh WHAT IS IT? We want some sleep!” shouted someone from in the bunk room.  “Ok everyone…

Week 1: Starting to think about science: Gathering and Interpreting Data.
Slime at Monday morning meet up.
Where have I placed myself for
Gathering data
Inferencing
Engaging in science?

I think that I am a multistructural in all today's things. I think that I was gathering data about how we can make our slime the best in the school. I think that I was doing this by making new ideas.
One of the people was wondering if we could put vanilla essence in it to make it smell good. And yes it worked.

In this experiment I think that I would connect to all the other people’s ideas and making sure that the slime is high quality.
You could do this by:

Making it smell good
How: maybe put some vanilla essence in so it can smell like vanilla rather than old cheese.
Making it like slime
How: If your slime doesn't work and it is to clumpy then maybe you didn't put enough water or it maybe you could put oil in it. If it is too watery then maybe put some more flour in. (It ha…

Responsible citizen

Inquiry reflection

In this inquiry session we were learning about what a responsible citizen is?  For the start of the term I didn't know much about my school leadership rolls. So on the solo rubric I would of put myself as multicultural because I knew most things but not the most important things so I asked some people and they told me the answer.
Now that i now what a responsible citizen is I can now do those things.

My school leadership roles or other things:

Road patrol
To keep the little kids safe from crossing the road.

Librarian
To encourage kids to read

Radio DJ
To keep all of the school updates available

Picking up rubbish
To keep the school and environment and the
WORLD!!! Tidy!

Music/orchestra/ukulele/piano
To make sure everyone enjoys playing
And even more than you can think of.

Wet day monitor
To make sure the kids are good at lunch.

Now that I am doing all of these leadership roles I think that I am a great responsible citizen  because I put my hand up to do lots of…

Responserble citizen

Are you a responsible citizen?

Well if you are then well done. ✅
A responsible citizen knows it is important to be careful of what you do and what you say..  It is important to be careful of what you say or do because if you do or say something that is mean then that person will feel stink and they might think that no one will want to play with them. It is important to be caring for the community because then the community would be a safe place.

A responsible citizen treats the world nicely.. The police are a responsible citizens because they take care of everything and they make things better, they would stand up to people that are being dangerous and help the people that are sad.

I think that Neve is a responsible  citizen because she can always be nice and she can stand up to people that are being mean to someone. She can pick up rubbish even if the teacher does not say to do it. So that’s why I think she is a responsible citizen.

If you see someone getting bullied then step in a…

Tough kids

Tough kids!
The morning is cold but the sun is still shining.  A shiver slides down my spine. The warm breeze flies into my hair.

Finally the numbers are counting down - ready, 3, 2, 1 and Go ! Running and running sliding, there's mud everywhere. I feel great and I really do feel it.

Keep going Lila keep going I say to myself. Let's win this thing! Running, running and sliding through mud. I squish, squish through the mud as my feet get even more muddy. But do you know what? I still love it whenever I get dirty, or even if I don't, I still get stuck in!

If I fall down then I will get back up again! I go through the obstacles, running, bouncing, crawling  through the mud.  I go through the finish line. I think to myself wow I really do feel great and I sure did love it! I have so much fun doing challenging things like that.
